AHGZ: Welcher Hotelbau macht das Rennen?

On stage the prominent names, including -for the national brands - Valtur, Planetaria Hotels, Piazza di Spagna View, Atahotels, Falkensteiner and Allegroitalia; for the international groups: Suzi Yoder - Best Western, Arnoldo Aiolfi - Club Med, Timothy Walton - Marriott International, Georg Schlegel - Choice and Sara Ranghi - Meliá Hotels.

"The interest in our country is growing constantly," resumes Giorgio Bianchi "Recently I was also at the Mipim in Cannes. In the area dedicated to the Peninsula I saw many traders and investors with concrete and attractive project. We ourselves have been approached by several major international names, a big development plan where we are working on, is in the Dolomites. "

With the recent addition of hotel assets in the "mainstream" of the real estate capital market, it is in fact increasing the attention to alternative structures to the classic urban vocation in business hotels. Italy and from this point of view is certainly in a privileged situation. Just think how many leisure destinations from the great potential exists in our Peninsula.

"Not only," adds Bianchi. "Many international companies are now looking for agreements with small to medium-sized groups, to accelerate its global expansion. Our country, rich as it is of a highly professional company, is therefore certainly a privileged target. Especially in Germany, I met many operators, developers and investors, who follow with interest the events of the Peninsula in search of new opportunities. "

Of course, not all the Italian criticality may, however, disappear. To curb our potential are the usual problems: one is the traditional approach of national hotel companies, that often combine management and ownership in a single entity, thus greatly reducing their expansion possibilities. On the other hand, there is still no certainty in the authorization procedures and procedural. "It's not like anywhere else there are not the same difficulties, "explains Giorgio Biachi.
